Gage Rondeau, raised by his grandparents Joe and Ruthann Ferenc, was the center of their universe and the light and love of so many who knew him. He was a kind and talented young man who was an avid hockey player from the age of 5 playing for the Cyclones, then the Northeast Ice Dogs which is now the Connecticut Jr Huskies. He then played with the AA Riptide out of Newington and finished his hockey career at ECHO following multiple concussions. His beautiful smile would light up a room, and his loss will leave all who knew him and loved him forever changed.

To honor his spirit, his grandparents, Joe and Ruthann Ferenc created a scholarship fund to help players to participate in the CJH program, regardless of financial hardship. Many parents and players have generously donated to this fund. CJH will continue to help raise funds throughout the year to enable as many players a possible to benefit from this generosity.

In order to qualify for the upcoming season, the Connecticut Jr Huskies family needs only to fill out the application form and attach a copy of the most recent year's IRS Form 1040. (Please blank out SSN). The application is reviewed in strictest of confidence - by a three-member sub-panel of the Connecticut Jr Huskies Board of Directors consisting of the President, Vice President and Treasurer. Scholarships awarded strictly based on financial need and funds available.
